Get a taste of welding and blacksmithing while creating your own sculpture!

In this 3-hour workshop, students will learn how to safely operate a MIG welder, use an induction forge and operate an angle grinder. We will focus on three skills: making tack welds with the MIG, bending metal with the induction forge, and polishing metal with the angle grinder. Metal will be provided along with sample dog and cat projects for inspiration.

Personal protection equipment (PPE) will be available, but we highly recommend that you bring your own, including protective eyewear, hearing protection and leather gloves. Please wear only cotton, wool or leather. Synthetics melt to your skin when the sparks fly.
