Soft Glass Torch Work One-on-One with Dr. Glass - May 2025

About this class:
This one-on-one class is available to both new and intermediate students. The student will learn at their own pace with one-on-one guidance. All equipment, materials, and supplies will be provided. 

The class will provide a hands-on learning experience in the fundamentals of melting soft glass. Beginners will start with bead making, and more experienced students may take on more complicated challenges. It will also include an introductory crash course in glass physics and chemistry.

Topics Covered:

First session:

• Safety, posture, and ergonomics
• How to use a torch and other essential glass tools
• Learn techniques required for the chosen project
• The history of glass

Second session:

• Practice techniques
• Guided work time for projects 
• How to clean and finish your project

NOTE: There are no specific times/dates for this class. You will schedule days and times with the specific instructor after you sign up for the class. For larger projects, it may be necessary to schedule this class multiple times. 

Due to the cost and planning needed to set up this class, there will be no refunds for missed classes.
