Started blacksmithing in 2008 after moving to Eatonville, WA and befriending one of the founding members of the NWBA. I have been fortunate to have gotten to know and learn from many of the founding members over the past 18 years. In addition to forging animals, furniture, traditional forgings and the natural world, I started making knives in 2012 after delving into forge-welding by welding a motorcycle chain billet. As I saw the pattern emerge from the solid piece of shiny steel that went into the etchant, I said to myself "I gotta do more of this!" And what better canvas than chef's knives?
